The kindest treatment of the horse…

I know this seems to be a theme I keep coming back to but it seems to always be top of mind…

I try to explain why in this weeks video.

Thanks for stopping by!

Many a child’s Christmas wish is a pony. As an adult, you don’t have to have your parent’s permission to get that pony or horse….but, the easy part of owning a horse, is the initial purchase.

I would love to own a horse, but I would prefer to board my horse with an owner who has years of experience in the equine industry. Someone who can observe small changes in my horses’ demeanour that may be a precursor to something more serious. Someone I can rely on for guidance and maybe through osmosis, learn the nitty gritty of true horse ownership.

Oh yes, I applaud you Pat for not buying an iguana!! Ciao!!

Come into the business of horses with big eyes, big ears and an open mind. Everyone has an opinion, in the end, call the vet. I’m surprised at how many people get offended and take it personally if I comment on something I see and ask questions. And here’s a clue……if more than one person asks about the same issue, call a vet! There is always something new to be learned about your horse. Be open to listening and learning.

Absolute truth! I believe this applies to any animal under your care. Thank you!
