Thank you for this video on equipment safety. I will know now to always check that clip under the saddle flap. When I have noticed it, it has been down, thankfully.
On the other hand, over the years I have been quite creative in falling off my horse….and it hasn’t been equipment failure! I’m still looking for the seatbelt!!

As someone who hasn’t ridden for years, and really was never much good at it, I never considered that the equipment might be faulty. And, I’d never even heard of the safety on the stirrup leather. I’ve always ridden western. Is it the same for western saddles?
