In this video we continue our discussion of the Training Pyramid, this time concentrating on Relaxation.
The three bottom tiers of the Training Pyramid are best thought of as a holistic process but in order to explain them I’ve tried discussing each separately.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
Thanks
Hey Pat I just wanted to let you know that I am in school for equine care and business management and we are actually learning the exact same training pyramid in our practical horse care class. I remember the first day we went over the training pyramid in my intermediate lesson when I was on Pete. You would tell me that “rhythm is everything then comes relaxation. Your horse can’t be relaxed if you don’t have a good rhythm” and these are things that have stayed with me throughout my horseback riding journey. I just wanted to say thank you for giving me such a good start and how the things you taught me when I first started riding have continued to help me along the way. Sometimes I even still hear your voice telling me things. You are a true horse woman and the hearts you touched by the way you teach will continue to grow and improve in their equestrian journey.
Noah, it is so wonderful to hear from you and I confess, you’ve made me cry. Thank you so much for your kind words and I am so happy to hear you are continuing your studies. You will be amazing. Keep me posted on your progress and thanks again!
